Tyson Fury Behind the Mask Description
THE UNDEFEATED HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION, IN HIS OWN WORDS
Read by Pound for Pound podcast's Jake Wood, with an introduction read by Tyson Fury.
The UK's bestselling boxing book since records began. Shortlisted for the 2020 Sports Biography of the Year.
The extraordinary story of the rise and fall and rise again of Tyson Fury...
THE GYPSY KING.
A Manchester lad from Irish Traveller stock, born three months premature and weighing just a pound at birth, Tyson (named after his father's boxing hero) grew up to become one of the most unlikely heavyweight champions in history. This 'dream come true' soon turned to nightmare, however, as alcohol and cocaine abuse took hold and Tyson was stripped of his titles. What followed was the darkest moment of his life - detailed in this book for the first time - in which he came within seconds of ending everything.
THE PEOPLE'S CHAMPION.
Like all the greatest stories, though, there is redemption and Tyson defies all the odds and literally drags himself to his feet. 10 million people around the globe watched Fury fight Wilder in the biggest fight of the boxing calendar. Speaking candidly about his struggles with mental health, this is Tyson Fury as you have never seen him before.
A BRITISH ICON.
Behind the Mask is an unflinching autobiography from the greatest boxer of our time and a man who has demonstrated strength of a very different kind by conquering his demons.
On the back' of Tyson Fury Behind the Mask
When I first started writing this book I weighed 28 stone, was drinking heavily, hated boxing and was battling a deep depression. At that point, all I could see and feel in my life was pain. The belts, the acclaim of becoming the heavyweight champion of the world - the fulfilment of a life-long dream in 2015 - had only left a cold, hollow feeling inside that wouldn't leave me. It would lead me to attempt to take my own life.
But two years later, I have been recognised by many as the top man in the heavyweight division. After my comeback from the brink against Deontay Wilder, I'm fitter than I have ever been and happier than ever before with a real purpose to living, even though I am constantly reminded that my underlying issues with mental health will never go away.
Some will think they know me from some of my past comments on social media, others will simply focus on my boxing career, but I hope this book will reveal to everyone who I am, my true personality, what I have gone through in my life, and my ongoing struggles.
Sit back and let's begin the journey of the Gypsy King.

We can send your item(s) in the following ways:
Courier Tracked - Order before 1pm, we can pack and post the same day to be with you the next working day, this is not a weekend service. It is fully tracked and we will send you the tracking number when we process your order.
Evri - In our experience an extremely slow service, we cannot guarantee it will arrive. It isn't an option on the website for good reason, so if you want this pitiful service and your parcel thrown into a random hedge near your house, if you're lucky, just to save about £2 then simply call us on 0117 942 5832 and we can process your order over the phone.
Fedex Worldwide - For anywhere outside the UK, we can post the same day but delivery times are dependent on the destination. Approximate delivery times are as follows:
