BRUCE TEGNER is spectacularly qualified to write and demonstrate instruction in the field of the un-armed Arts, of which Karate is a specialty.
Both his parents were professional Black Belt Judo and Jiu-Jitsu instructors. Mr. Tegner's training began when he was two years old.
His entire life has been spent in studying and teaching Judo, Karate, Savate, Aikido and related Arts.
At the age of 19, he was the youngest Second Degree Black Belt in Judo on record in the U.S.A. He holds a Fifth Degree Black Belt in Karate, awarded through the Japanese society, the Shukoh-kai. It is the highest degree which this organization has ever awarded to anyone outside of Japan.
Bruce Tegnér's years of experience as a teacher began when he was in his teens. He has taught sport and self-defence techniques to thousands of men, women and children. At his school in Hollywood, his students have included law enforcement officers, movie and TV personalities, professors and businessmen, the blind and the handicapped.
