Wushu Spear Head can be attached to any stick or staff to make a spear for kung fu, but are specifically designed with a White wax wood kung fu staff in mind
Pre modern times have seen spears exist at some point in almost every civilisation’s history, especially warring states. It’s a really simple weapon to manufacture and repair. The Chinese Kung Fu Spear is no exception to this and spears have existed in China for a long time. This Wushu Spear Head can be easily fitted to any stick to make a spear but it is the traditional White Wax Wood Kung Fu Staff that it has been designed for.
Many styles of martial arts from all over China have spear practice as part of it's syllabus. Not everyone wants a Wax Wood staff for the spear shaft. So we sell the Kung Fu Spear Head separately as people who want to hand pick their own spear shaft can get a Spear Head. Some people want much more rigid Shafts like Red Oak Bo Staff and some more flexible like the Rattan Bo staffs.
These Kung Fu Spear Heads are the standard for most Chinese Kung Fu Styles, especially for Wushu Kung Fu and Shaolin Temple Kung Fu but also for most Chinese Kung Fu styles that train with them. In fact, styles such as XingYiQuan and Bagua Quan attribute their movement an forms to spear work.
“Most staffs will need a bit of adjusting to get a perfect fit, so get your tools out for a bit of whittling.”
