Cold Steel Suburi Bokken Description

Cold Steel have become a company known for producing incredibly tough and durable weapons. Now they they produce more than martial arts weapons so most of what they have for sale we aren't interested in. However, they do product a small amount of very well made, very tough martial arts training weapons. Some of these are part of a range of weapons made from a polypropylene plastic, which they say is indestructible. Whether this is 100% true or not, they are incredibly tough and you wont find any martial arts weapons on the market that are tougher.

The Suburi Bokken is a specialized ancient training weapon that’s meant to help build up strength in the practitioner. Primarily, it is intended for solo practice or cutting drills, the extra length and weight, really works the body. Initally it might not seem like much but the pains comes quickly. Cold Steel's interpretation of the Suburi Bokken was inspired by a wooden Suburito in Aikido 5th Dan, Andrew Demko’s private collection. Cold Steel's President, Lynn C. Thompson trained with it for several months, and resolved to create one for Cold Steel. Injection molded from virgin high strength polypropylene with a long handle and square tip, it’s enormously resistant to breaking and will never shrink, rot, crack or splinter like a wooden Suburito is prone to do. It’s built to provide many years of hard service and, if used faithfully, it will surely make you a better swordsman. It has an elegant wood grain finish and bears the five major precepts of Japanese sword cutting, written in Kanji characters.

Shipping your Cold Steel Suburi Bokken

We have a few different options for posting your items at Enso Martial Arts Shop. Prices vary depending on the overall order, weight, size etc. The checkout page will automatically workout the possible options for you.
We can send your item(s) in the following ways:
Courier Tracked - Order before 1pm, we can pack and post the same day to be with you the next working day, this is not a weekend service. It is fully tracked and we will send you the tracking number when we process your order.
Evri - In our experience an extremely slow service, we cannot guarantee it will arrive. It isn't an option on the website for good reason, so if you want this pitiful service and your parcel thrown into a random hedge near your house, if you're lucky, just to save about £2 then simply call us on 0117 942 5832 and we can process your order over the phone.
Fedex Worldwide - For anywhere outside the UK, we can post the same day but delivery times are dependent on the destination. Approximate delivery times are as follows:
  • Europe: 2-3 working days
  • USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand: 3-4 working days
  • All other destinations: 4-7 working days.
