The Bamboo Tai Chi Fan is a common sight in China and, especially on a hot day, you’ll see people with them everywhere. Chinese Kung Fu and Tai Chi has weapons that started of as everyday items and got slowly developed into training weapons. The fan is no exception and nowadays people across the world use these simple items to practice their chosen arts with.
Bamboo is a common building material in China partly due to it’s abundance but also because of it strength to weight ratio. It’s equal to steel. This Bamboo Tai Chi Fan has ribs that are made entirely of bamboo with the end ribs being round to fit well with your hand and make it comfortable to hold. The material fixed to the ribs is a nylon / polyester. When closed it can make a hard baton like implement and open a perfect fan. It also comes with a silk style satin case to hold it in.
The red nylon material is attached to red painted ribs giving a total red look. The fan is lightweight so very easy to use and move around for your forms and practice. Great for all Tai Chi practice but will also suit all styles of Chinese Kung Fu that use them.
“Those looking for a natural material for the fan will be sorely disappointed, they all come with a nylon / polyester covering. They are lightweight which is great for training, many try the Red Metal Tai Chi Fan if you want it to be a bit heavier.”

We have a few different options for posting your items at Enso Martial Arts Shop. Prices vary depending on the overall order, weight, size etc. The checkout page will automatically workout the possible options for you.
We can send your item(s) in the following ways:
Courier Tracked - Order before 1pm, we can pack and post the same day to be with you the next working day, this is not a weekend service. It is fully tracked and we will send you the tracking number when we process your order.
Hermes - In our experience an extremely slow service, we cannot guarantee it will arrive. It isn't an option on the website for good reason, so if you want this pitiful service and your parcel thrown into a random hedge near your house, if you're lucky, just to save about £2 then simply call us on 0117 942 5832 and we can process your order over the phone.
UPS Worldwide - For anywhere outside the UK, we can post the same day but delivery times are dependent on the destination. Approximate delivery times are as follows:
* Europe: 2-3 working days
* USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand: 3-4 working days
* All other destinations: 4-7 working days.
