Nine Ring Broadsword Description

Rigid or Solid Chinese Broadswords are quite hard to find these days, especially ones with a bit of weight. As this is a Nine Ring Broadsword it makes it even rarer. Not many people know the forms of these nowadays, so if you can learn it it is well worth the effort. In fact it is one of the only Nine Ring broadswords on the market these days. Used in many traditional kung fu styles, the weight will give you a good workout and really help you with balance, coordination and strength.

Cast into a single piece of a aluminium this Nine Ring Broadsword is the perfect practice sword and gets you used to training with metal. The main feature is teh nine rings down teh lenght of the length These jangle when you move and swing the sword. There are many theories about the reason for the rings, including, distracting an opponent, scaring away animals, hooking swords and other weapons, or simply to just make noise for demonstrations. The list goes on and on and they are all plausible withou any being confirmed.

It is a standard length of most Chinese Broadswords and has a faux leather bound handle for good grip. Although these can vary so check the photos on this page. Because this Aluminium Chinese Broadsword in rigid it can be used for Tai Chi Sticking sword practice and help you get used to the feel of the sword. However because Aluminium is a soft metal they can self sharpen over time so watch out for that and dull it if needs be. Hermes - In our experience an extremely slow service, we cannot guarantee it will arrive.
