Learning T'ai-Chi from your heart is about discovering a relationship. T'ai-Chi is like a person you are starting to get to know. You are sincere.
Learning T'ai-Chi from your heart is about discovering a relationship. T'ai-Chi is like a person you are starting to get to know. You are sincere. You ask open questions and your mind allows you to receive simple answers. Gradually you have a two-way conversation with this new-found friend. You start to feel comfortable with T'ai-Chi.
Following on from the success of T'ai-Chi Chi Kung: Fifteen Ways to a Happier You, Peter Chin Kean Choy takes the therapeutic elements of T'ai-Chi to the next level, emphasising that the real benefit is attained from tuning in to one's internal chi, the river of energy that flows through all our bodies.
A unique aspect of T'ai-Chi: 37 Steps to Happiness is the introduction of Aqua T'ai-Chi. The ancient art of T'ai-Chi is all about fluidity of movement, and practising in the water helps the most awkward student towards swanlike grace. Many couples have also benefited from the supportive aspects of the partner exercises, which encourage the participants to flow with one another, enhancing 'give and take' in any relationship.
All the movements are illustrated with step-by-step photographs, and each is complemented by meditations and explanation of the Taoist philosophy which inspired it. Students will emerge with a greater understanding and will find the exercises easier and more rewarding as a result.
Praise for T'ai-Chi Chi Kung: Fifteen Ways to a Happier You:
A splendidly illustrated guidebook... Lots of clear photographs, simple text that positions the exercises firmly within the Taoist philosophy and a willingness to make the whole thing enjoyable comes as a breath of fresh air. Highly recommended.
