FROM THE FOREWORD BY JAMES ELKIN, CHAIRMAN OF THE MARTIAL ARTS COMMISSION BRITAIN
P M V 'Vince' Morris
A chronic asthmatic initially unable to run a hundred yards without collapsing, P M V 'Vince' Morris now includes a three-mile run as a regular part of his training schedule, and success in the struggle to overcome his disability explains in part why, in this book, he has included a chaptel on general health. This shows how physical fitness through karate can make a positive contribution to the quality of life both of healthy people and of those with a disability.
In the last 11 years he has studied under many tamous karate instructors in England. He is vice-chairman of the Nottingham Karate Club, East Midlands representative of the SKl, a member of the English Karate Board, EKB delegate on the Martial Arts Commission and since July 1977 he has been chairman of the Federation of English Karate Organisations. He is also managing director of an international college of English and management studies, and happily married (his wife is also a karate black belt) with one son.
