Child Red Oak Bokken Description

These Child red oak bokken are shorter than stadard length bokken, perfect for kids wanting to train in Japanese styles like Kenjitsu, Aikido, Ju Jitsu and Ninjutsu. They are perfect for partner work, drills and forms. These Child Red Oak Bokken are lighter and shorter so much more manageable for kids than the standard size bokken. It means they can get involved iwth training rather than their shoulders giving up after 10 seconds and having to admit defeat and take a rest.

Made from red oak, they are super durable and can be used for light sparring. However, wood is a natural product and it is not indestructible so be careful and take it easy. Then this Bokken will last you a lifetime. With the Chidl Red Oak Bokken you also get a Tsuba which helps protect the hands and fingers. Not all styles use them, like Aikido, but they are good for protecting the Child's Hands when training.

The Child red oak bokken comes in 33 inches or 84 cm, which is shorter than the standard bokken length as full length bokken can to too unwieldy or heavy for kids If you purchase one of our plastic saya they are great for practicing drawing sword work too, although the saya are designed for standard lenght bokken so it won't fit perfectly. Good solid, reliable piece of kit and it won’t let you down.

Advice from the shop on Child Red Oak Bokken

“The perfect option for kids wanting to learn Aikido and Ninjutsu. Normal Bokken can be too heavy for them, so these work great”

Shipping your Child Red Oak Bokken

We have a few different options for posting your items at Enso Martial Arts Shop. Prices vary depending on the overall order, weight, size etc. The checkout page will automatically workout the possible options for you.

We can send your item(s) in the following ways:

Royal Mail 2nd Class signed - Pretty slow service but will get there eventually. We will try and post it the same day the order comes to us, but not always possible for us. More than likely we will post the next day or day after that. Only possible for small lightweight items, as heavy items are more expensive than UPS.

UPS Standard - Order before 12pm and we can pack and post the same day to be with you the next day. If you order after 12pm we can still pack it and have it ready but it is less likely to be collected the same day (still possible though, depends when the UPS man comes) and will arrive the day after that.

UPS Worldwide - For anywhere outside the UK, we can post the same day but delivery times are dependent on the destination. Approximate delivery times are as follows:

  • Europe: 2-3 working days
  • USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand: 3-4 working days
  • All other destinations: 4-7 working days.
