Jitte Weapon is a weapon developed in Japan but originating from all over Asia, used by the Samurai Police for defending from attacks against swords
The Jitte weapon originate from Sai from Okinawa, which in turn originate from all over Asia. From India and Indonesian mainly and are thought to have come to Okinawa and eventually over to Japan. The Jitte Weapon use used by Police and Law enforcement, a common weapon of the Samurai Police. Jitte weapon were just that, they were an excellence way of defending yourself from sword attacks as you can parry, block , disarm and lock an attacker. In short it is used very much like the batons of modern day Police forces.
However, the time that Jitte got the most popular, swords were outlawed so they were more used for manipulated people using the hook to hook into clothes, noses and mouths. As well the end used as a truncheon for striking and hitting. Not only were these used by the Police but also a lot of official bodies wearing one was seen as a badge of officialness.
This Jitte Weapon is sold singly and are a perfect weight and feel. They come complete with a sword tassle The handle is wrapped it a nylon cord and the shaft is multi-faceted making it Octagonal in shape. You should never need to buy another one of these as the Jitte Weapon is solidly built and tough. Enjoy your practice.

Hermes - In our experience an extremely slow service, we cannot guarantee it will arrive. It isn't an option on the website for good reason, so if you want this pitiful service and your parcel thrown into a random hedge near your house, if you're lucky, just to save about £2 then simply call us on 0117 942 5832 and we can process your order over the phone.
UPS Worldwide - For anywhere outside the UK, we can post the same day but delivery times are dependent on the destination. Approximate delivery times are as follows:
* Europe: 2-3 working days
* USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand: 3-4 working days
