White Wax wood kung fu staff Description

These White Wax Wood Kung Fu Staffs are the standard for Shaolin Kung Fu and Chinese Wushu. The White Wax Wood Kung Fu Staff are a lovely weapon and super versatile. They used to be common place in the UK about 10 – 15 years ago and then the supply dried up. It is now very difficult to buy these from anywhere, especially at a sensible price. We’ve worked hard to get these in and now ship them direct from the Shaolin area in China.

A super natural knobbly staff, that has a distinctive feel unique to this staff. They are made from White wax wood and offer a bit of flexibility, perfect for kung fu staff work. You can cut them to the length you need, but make sure you sand the cut edge to avoid splinters.  Used mainly by Shaolin Kung Fu and Chinese Wushu practitioners but also used by many Southern Kung Fu styles from where the staff naturally grow. They also are the standard for Spear shafts and are perfect for spear training (with the head of course).

They are a tough semi flexible weapon and will take some impact for partner work and drills. However, be mindful that it is wood and isn't indestructible. Wood can break so a real thumping could end up with a broken stick. Look after your staff and it will last you for years.
