Tai Chi Ruler Stick Description

This Tai Chi Ruler, as well as the Tai Chi Bang we also sell, fall into a category of Tai chi training aids, they are not weapons but a tool to help your Tai Chi practice. Within Tai Chi, the Tai Chi RUler is seen as an internal or YIn training tool. It works on the internal process and helps build Qi througha series of Qi Gong or Nei Gong exercises. As it helps with the internal methods the theories on it's uses are much more esoteric than many items we have at Enso Martial Ats

The Tai Chi Ruler should be around 30cm long and about 4.5cm thick. They have a roudn centre to help keep the focus on the central pivoting of the ruler and have round ends allowing for a smooth movement through your hands and turning on the ends. It is not held as such, but placed between the two palms. This allows you to have fluid controlled movement without being restricted form the shape of the stick.

There are lots of different theories of what wood should be used for Tai Chi Ruler, some say Black Walnut to help with the kidneys. Some say the famous Chinese Iron Wood. However, this wood is expensive if you can get it at all and finding a Tai Chi Bang made form these wood is almost impossible. At Enso Martial Arts, we have looked for years to find a supplier of Tai Chi Ruler Sticks and the ones we could source are made from Beech wood, it is not the traditional wood but they are very solid, robust and perfect for most practitioners of Tai Chi.

Courier Tracked - Order before 1pm, we can pack and post the same day to be with you the next working day, this is not a weekend service. It is fully tracked and we will send you the tracking number when we process your order.

Hermes - In our experience an extremely slow service, we cannot guarantee it will arrive. It isn't an option on the website for good reason, so if you want this pitiful service and your parcel thrown into a random hedge near your house, if you're lucky, just to save about £2 then simply call us on 0117 942 5832 and we can process your order over the phone.

UPS Worldwide - For anywhere outside the UK, we can post the same day but delivery times are dependent on the destination. Approximate delivery times are as follows:
