Wing Chun Chi Sau Ring Description

There are some who pratice with these to use as a weapon, persoanlly we've never quite understood that at Enso Martial Arts and we see then spoley as a training tool for Wing Chun Practitioners. Saying that, there are quite a number of Southern Kung Fu styles that do use them such as Praying Mantis. Primarily they are used to help gauge hand positioning and distance. They allow elbows to be correctly positioned from your body and from each other, as are the hands. They help the user to develop positioning, power, timings and connection.

This Rattan Wing Chun Chi Sau Ring is available to buy in four different sizes, depending on your needs and body size. And are all made from one single piece of rattan that has been folded round on itself and tied using rattan strips. A lovely training tool and something that can be easily packed around with you so you can train everywhere you go and travel.

The sizing of these can be a bit varying, it all depends on where you measure them from. Some from the outside points and some form the inside, etc etc. If you have a precise size you need, maybe give us a call first before you buy and we can measure one for you before we send it out. Also, all Chi Sau Rattan Rings used to be 1 inch thick and then moved down to 1/2 inch. We have a variety at Enso, so again if you need a specific thickness, call us and we'll see what we can do for you.

Hermes - In our experience an extremely slow service, we cannot guarantee it will arrive.
