The Chinese Tiger Fork is supposedly a weapon to hunt big cats in Southern China. Today is it a weapon for Southern styles like Hung Gar and Lau Gar Kung Fu
Traditionally, Chinese Tiger Fork were reportedly used for hunting big cats in southern China. There are other theories that they may have been used for harvesting crops, similar to a pitch fork in the west. However that doesn’t sound a cool as fending off Tigers. Used now mainly by the Southern Chinese Kung Fu styles such as Hung Gar and Lau Gar, to name a few, you will also see these in The Shaolin Temple and in modern Wushu. The Chinese Tiger Fork is quite heavy weight, which makes it perfect for training and building strength.
The Fork head is made from solid steel, which gives the Chinese Tiger Fork it's weight, and the shaft from wood. Like many of the Chinese weapons the wooden shaft is painted a maroon red. At the base of the fork is a faux horsehair, which is traditionally supposed to stop the blood running down the shaft and making it sticky and unusable. The end of the shaft has a metal end cap, which would have been used for butting and jabbing
These days the Chinese Tiger Fork is one of the rarer weapons in Kung Fu, it’s a solid chucky weapon that you'll love training with an will last a lifetime.
“These are not built for sparring only for forms, and at which they are perfect”

We can send your item(s) in the following ways:
Courier Tracked and Insured - Order before 1pm, we can pack and post the same day to be with you the next working day, this is not a weekend service. It is fully tracked and we will send you the tracking number when we process your order.
