Japanese Ash Wood Bo Staff Description

These are the new choice for many Japanese martial arts. These Japanese Ash Wood Bo Staff are a lovely weapon, so versatile and very good looking. Made from Ash wood, Ash is possibily goign to take over form Oak as Oak is getting harder and harder to source and therfore more expensive. They are same thickness throughout the length of the staff.  They are a tough weapon and will take some impact for partner work and drills. However, be mindful that it is wood and isn't indestructible. Being a natural material, Wood can break so a real thumping could end up with a broken stick. Look after your staff and it will last you for years. 

This Japanese Ash Wood Bo Staff is one of the nicest available on the market, it is slightly thicker than most Bo Staffs out there being around 1 1/4 inch or 32mm in diameter. This gives it a super traditional feel and the extra thickness helps with gripping your bo staff. Made in the standard Bo Staff length of 6ft / 72 inches / 180cm. You can also buy the Bo Staff Case to store and carry it in.

Styles like Ninjutsu, Karate and even Kung Fu especially the Southern styles will love training with this Bo Staff. The weight gives you a great workout, especially when training spinning drills. The Ash Wood bo staff is one of the most traditional and simplistic of Japanese weapons.
