Records of these being use in China go back 1500 years, They are one of the longest range weapons, one, that is, you can retrieve easily once you’ve thrown it. Other weapons exist that are very similar, the Chinese Meteor Hammer, Flying Claw, all of which have very similar techniques with their own added flair. The Chinese Rope Dart ‘s specialty is the sharp point, which could piece when thrusted out.
The Chinese Rope Dart is about 15 ft in with a heavy steel dart tied on one end, at the join are some rings which jangle. Some people also attached a small cloth which gives some stability when spinning and also makes a noise so you can tell where it is at all times.
Most of the techniques are based around preparing to throw out, throwing out and retrieving it back. This can be done from almost any part of the body but mainly the feet and hands, elbows and neck. There are also some techniques that involve locking and tying and opponent.
“The actual dart is heavy, most people are surprised when they first hold one. This, when spinning round your head is a danger, make no bones about it. If this clonks you one, you’ll know about it, wherever it hits you. I know some people that stick a tennis ball over the dart to give them some practice time getting used to it.”

We have a few different options for posting your items at Enso Martial Arts Shop. Prices vary depending on the overall order, weight, size etc. The checkout page will automatically workout the possible options for you.
We can send your item(s) in the following ways:
Royal Mail 2nd Class signed - Pretty slow service but will get there eventually. We will try and post it the same day the order comes to us, but not always possible for us. More than likely we will post the next day or day after that. Only possible for small lightweight items, as heavy items are more expensive than UPS.
UPS Standard - Order before 12pm and we can pack and post the same day to be with you the next day. If you order after 12pm we can still pack it and have it ready but it is less likely to be collected the same day (still possible though, depends when the UPS man comes) and will arrive the day after that.
UPS Worldwide - For anywhere outside the UK, we can post the same day but delivery times are dependent on the destination. Approximate delivery times are as follows:
