Shaolin Three Section Staff Description

Known as one of the more kung Fu advanced weapnsThe Shaolin three section staff is a versatile weapon that can be used at all fighting ranges. Long range for striking and whipping, mid range as a flail or two section staff style fighting and short range, similar to that of Escrima stick fighting. It is thought that its uses wouldn’t be any good on a battlefield but would be better served for personal self defence. The amount of attacking and defending techniques that are possible with this weapon are almost limitless and you can spend a lifetime perfecting them.

This Shaolin Three Section Staff is made from White Wax wood, used for many Chinese Kung Fu weapons and is liked because its natural and waxy smooth finish. The white wax wood is used for the three section staff in a relatively natural state so a very traditional feel, has plenty of nobbles and lumps which really help with grip. It's held together with metal clasps with metal loops. There are also extra loops in this link which rattle and make nose for extra effect, which is perfect for demo's and competition.

Training with a Three Section Staff almost needs no instructor, once you have some ideas and possibly a form the Three Section Staff will teach you. It will hit you when you get something wrong, so fly off in the wrong direction. If you trying to strike things with it and it will bounce off it all kinds of ways you never expected. Practice and it’ll all come good.

Advice from the shop on your Three section Staff

“My only advice is prepare yourself, this weapon is not for the faint hearted, some people think it’ll be an easy transition from Nunchaku to this. They are wrong, the best transition is from Bo Staff or Kung Fu staff but you’re still in for a steep learning curve. Beware.”

Shipping your Three section Staff

We have a few different options for posting your items at Enso Martial Arts Shop. Prices vary depending on the overall order, weight, size etc. The checkout page will automatically workout the possible options for you.
We can send your item(s) in the following ways:
Courier Tracked - Order before 1pm, we can pack and post the same day to be with you the next working day, this is not a weekend service. It is fully tracked and we will send you the tracking number when we process your order.
Hermes - In our experience an extremely slow service, we cannot guarantee it will arrive. It isn't an option on the website for good reason, so if you want this pitiful service and your parcel thrown into a random hedge near your house, if you're lucky, just to save about £2 then simply call us on 0117 942 5832 and we can process your order over the phone.
UPS Worldwide - For anywhere outside the UK, we can post the same day but delivery times are dependent on the destination. Approximate delivery times are as follows:
  • Europe: 2-3 working days
  • USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand: 3-4 working days
  • All other destinations: 4-7 working days.
