This manual is for the information, guidance, and use of all Black Dragon Fighting Society personel. For ease and convenience to the reader, the material is divided into three primary parts:
Basic Techniques- the initial duty of any martial art is to provide its students with a variety of combative techniques. Section One deals with twenty such fundamental methods of attack and defense.
Advanced Techniques- these "kata" ( pre-arranged exercise) not only provide the opportunity to rehearse the basic techniques in combination, but also comprise the deadliest, most savage, and terrifying self-defense forms known to man.
Sword Forms- Section Three deals with the specific training forms of the "Chien" or Sword, and are designed with the warrior in mind. They are the first five forms taught to the members of the Hsiao Chien Do Fencing Fraternity, and are revealed here for the first time.
